PostSubject: The Oath in Felghana   Sun Oct 05, 2008 8:30 pm

Actualy this is a game threads but since it's not an RMPX, I don't think it's a good idea to put it there, so here's the game I play for all this time that take all the time I used to spend here. And to tell the truth I myself haven't defeat this game even in the easy version with my own power (I had defeat it, but well, in some part, my brother help me in this game so I'm not truly defeat it right?)
Okay here's the game.

Ys VII: The Oath in Felghana

Spoiler:

It is is a Japanese-origin computer role-playing game series, and Nihon Falcom corporation's flagship franchise. It started on the NEC PC-8801
in 1987. Ys titles appear on the MSX2, Sega Master System, Sega Mega Drive, Famicom, Super NES, PC, PlayStation 2, PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16 CD-ROM, and cellular phone. "Y's", arises from a typographical error in the packaging of the English-language versions of the Sega Master System.

The Ys series chronicles the adventures of Adol Christin, a red-haired young man from a Germanic country with a zest for adventure and an uncanny knack for being in the right place at the right time. Gameplay always revolves around Adol, though his comrade, Dogi, is a frequent companion in his travels around Esteria. Adol is the only truly playable character in the series. Feena was a non-controllable companion in Ys Eternal, and Tarf was set up in Ys II ETERNAL. Several characters follow Adol in Ys IV.

Personal Coment:
If you wander why I sometimes missing in this site for one or two day, this game is the reason(not study, sorry but I'm in holiday now hehehehe).
This game is ultimately hard to beat, well, the picture can be compared with Final Fantasy though, but it's realy hard, esspecialy if you're not used to action adventure game, okay this game is RPG though.
You need a very special skill and talent to play it, I think, since I play this with all my power and mind, and it realy make me have a very hard time alone in my room. Well, it's not as hard as Devil May Cry though. hehehe
Btw, if you like chalenge, you might think to play this game.

The game looks good, but I really prefer the older Ys games. They have a uniqueness to them most other Action RPGs don't.

The gameplay mechanic of ramming into your enemies to do damage to them is an interesting, albeit crude method, and it lends to the genre very well.

Also, I'm a fan of the oldschool graphics, and the pixelized old style anime in them is quite appealing to my nostalgia senses.

Not yet actually, I've done some reading on the Ys series, but I've only played I II and maybe III or IV I forget which.

I like the games where you run into your enemy to do damage to them, because it is different than most other action-RPGs. Because you don't have an attack button, it makes for more dangerous combat.
