The Coast Road

My dream doth fade ere the dawn it sees,
And twinkling sails on the faraway seas.
It cares not a bit what a pain it lands
On the heart of the boy who's alone on the sands.
Smiling, it leaves ere the dawn doth break.
Waving, I muse on the Road I'd take.
Come, sweet little heart! Your goal is gone.
How fare your wounds now the quest ends here?

Outspread above, sky-deep in the night,
The Milky Way with endless Stars alight:
The Centaur shoots to the pitch darkness;
The Bull, shut-eyed, sprints to emptiness,
The chained sweet Maiden freely roams;
The Fish Twins whirl in the sea that foams.
Come, Scorpion mine! The Libra's down.
What fares you strive for the Scales unfair?

Outstretched ahead is a Road unclear.
No light I see as I shake with fear.
God, whither it leads? Why should I tread forth?
My future is dim, not a try is worth.
These tears I cannot hold, my God.
There's no hope in the Road I've trod.
Come, tearful heart! Have faith in the dawn.
What fares you stop in doubt and tear?

There's silence here in the Road I walk.
Deep shadows of doubt in the corners stalk.
My eyes little see. My heart pounds fast.
My hands and feet drag me to the past.
I struggle in pain and onward go,
And a bird I hear which sings so low:
Come, wanderer lone! The Road goes on.
What fares you sneak on the Road with fear?

The rustle of the leaves, the whisper of the wind;
The nightly hoot of an owl which grinned;
The dropping of the dews in the dead of the night;
The chirp of a cricket so sweet and light;
How they all seemed like a warm welcome!
Thus further I moved on the Road to come.
Come, traveler young! Step faster! Run!
How fares you feel the thrill in the air?

With heightened mood I sped my gait.
The Road was glad, and so was Fate.
As time did pass, some colors I saw.
Plain as they were, yet I stared in awe
Like a fervent child who's new to the world,
Impatient to learn, discover, unfold.
Come, wide-eyed friend! You're far from done.
How fares your life in the whole new sphere?

This Road, this life, stretched a thousand miles
Is a long journey with scowls and smiles.
I'm smiling now to the Road ahead.
Lively, swift and bold I tread.
Then I stumble upon a familiar sight:
A coast, a sky and a flicker of light.
Go forth, young man! Your life's begun.
And fare you well, for the dawn is near.

I love this one as well. ^^ I like that it is not too dark nor too bright-it beautifully describes the "road" on the coast and then the end is a beautiful life beginning.

I don't think I've got any criticism on this one, I like everything about it by far. Keep it up. ^^
